I know of several teachers who are using or have used this blog in their lessons at some point. First, I must say I am flattered and thrilled beyond belief. The purpose of this blog is not just to keep family and friends updated, but also to disseminate a firsthand account in real time of some countries with interesting reputations. There’s a lot of misinformation as well as conflicting information out there, and I see it as my responsibility to correct that as much as one college kid possibly can.
I generally try to link to my sources, but with spotty internet that is not always possible. Please let me know if you’d like to see any of them, and I can send you my little blog bibliography.
If you or your students have any questions or topics you’d like me to cover, feel free to send me an email at email@example.com
In between travels I am always willing to talk about my travels to anyone, teacher, friend, student or stranger, who will listen, so if you or your class is interested, please let me know.
Also, if you do use parts of the blog in your classroom, I only ask that you let me know. I’m both curious about my readers and proud of my work, and I’d love to hear what your students thought of my travels and these countries.
